'In Understanding be Adults' is a ministry that grew out of my deep concern for Evangelical Protestant Christianity as I witnessed the continuing departure from the "Faith once delivered to the Apostles" into the indistinguishable hotchpotch of Ecumenism and Churches together. Evangelical Protestant Theology is the clear and indisputable setting forth of the teachings of Holy Scripture, embracing and explaining in a clear and precise manner the testimony of Scripture on the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet so many Church leaders, while claiming to be Evangelical in doctrine and experience appear to be willing for the sake of uniting Churches, not only to fudge their own doctrine standpoint so as not to offend others, but are willing also to completely ignore the teachings of others which blatantly oppose the teachings of Scripture. This is a trend that everyone who holds the surely oppose.

All Evangelical Christians should heed the words of Jesus in Mat 15v4 "if the blind lead the blind they will both fall into the ditch". We should all follow the example of the Bereans " who searched the scriptures" to confirm that what Paul was saying was accurate. Acts 17v11. To ignore Rome's teaching on the fundamental doctrine of redemption is to ignore the heart of the gospel. The Word of God declares in Gal 1v8 "that if anyone preaches a different gospel than that preached by Paul" that they are under God's curse.

I was brought up in Dublin as a Roman Catholic, was actively engaged in "Catholic Action" picketing and disturbing Open Air Gospel Meetings. I spent one and half years in a seminary preparing to enter a Novitiate and commence studying for the priesthood. I came to know the Lord personally in 1957 through the witness of a Dublin Christian and through reading the Word of God. I have been married for forty years; have three children and worship at a Baptist Church in England. I am also a member of the Council of the Protestant Truth Society.

I seek to explain to God's people how the Church of Rome has departed from the Truth of the Gospel and to enable them to be better equipped in their witnessing to Roman Catholic friends and neighbours.
